First Game!

I finally got to go see the Patriots play live on Monday night & all I have to say is wow! Probably one of the best times of my life!!! I so wish I could go again.

I was pretty much in shock that I was really there during the first quarter. By the second quarter it was slowly kicking it. By half-time it had fully hit me. After liking them for so long, it was about time I got my butt from CA to MA to see them. Of course being able to see them play live is amazing in & of itself, but then getting to see the game with the guy you like is an extra bonus. It was also the best game to go to because it was their first game of the season, & they were also celebrating their 50th year in the AFC so they were wearing their throwback jerseys. At half-time the 50th Anniversary team came out, which was also cool to see.

During the fourth quarter I was pretty down though. All I saw was that lead from the Bills & the time getting closer to the end. Around 5:25 mins into the 4th, a bunch of fans started leaving. Some of them might have left to beat traffic, but I will venture to say that most of them left because it didn’t look like the Pats had a chance of winning. Now if there is anything I’ve learned in sports it’s that anything is possible, even at the last second. I think we saw the damage of that during the Super Bowl against the Giants…which was a stupid & annoying win, but let’s not get into that right now.

Well of course the Pats came through in the end beating the Bills with 25-24. It would’ve totally sucked though if they lost. Brady seemed a bit rusty during the game & the defense wasn’t all that great, until it got to the end. But either way that was an amazing game! I definitely think they will do much better this season. LET’S GO PATS!!!!!!!!
